Teamwork

Since establishing self-directed work teams in early 1993, our teams have been more interested in and motivated by you, our customers, than we could have possibly hoped. Our emphasis on teamwork has given us a clearer focus on customers.

The most dramatic example of Woodpro´s self-directed teamwork came in December 1993 when a fire destroyed 5% of the manufacturing space. The fire was near the center of the operation and dramatically limited material flow and the finish operation. Without management assistance Woodpro teams arranged for around the clock operation. With our super team effort, the next week´s loads went out with only four items backordered and only two days late. The following week´s loads went out totally on-time.
