Written to Paula for Christmas 1995

Accompany me on a moonlit ride with friends on a country hayride. Our first touch will kindle a fire that will last throughout life’s journey.

Accompany me down the aisle on an unknown journey through life. As a wedded couple we will share our family, our friends, our joys and our sorrows.

Accompany me in developing our family and our home. With God’s help our children will be our greatest creation and a gift to ourselves and future generations.

Accompany me in my work and I’ll support you in your profession. With your support my self-confidence will soar and my career will change into my life’s vocation.

Accompany me into the next generation of children’s games, plays, recitals and ball games. We will grow wiser seeing the world through the eyes of our grandchildren and they will know our love.

Accompany me as we share with others the power and the importance of families. With our love and the love around us our journey will be rewarding and full.

Accompany me through the difficult time when one of us lays the other to their earthly rest. By God’s grace we will both soon experience rebirth into a new season of life.
