Love & Marriage

Apollo is definately rarin' to go!

This collection of stories, written over the past three years, are mostly about my wife, Paula, and my life with her. Some stories are included because they tell of an interesting or humorous event. I feel that many of the stories may have a broader application for those who are married or are considering marriage. I've got my hands full dealing with marriage challenges. But, I'm hoping the glimpses into my life with Paula will perhaps be like what Yogi Berra said, "You can observe a lot by watching."

When I began dating Paula in 1963, I was perhaps surprised by her love for me. In many ways I felt we were an out-and-out mismatch, even though we grew up in the same town. Paula's proven talent, intellect and social skills often were in contrast to my questionable ones.

But I believe time has proven that Paula and I share faith in God, belief in the importance of families and in many ways are much alike. Just as Wilbur the pig said to the rat and spider in Charlotte's Web, "We've got lots in common where it really counts."
